Since I'm the author, I obviously think it's a great story. LOL Crash Into Me is meant to be romance and in that, it's meant to be NON REALISTIC. OMG BECKY! Look at this book!See it? Take a nice long look, memorize it, notice the details of the hot couple smexing it up...now, DON'T EVER READ IT! LOL, okay, that may be going a little far. I can't exactly say that to each and every one of you, so I won't. I will not say that you shouldn't waste your time. I will NOT say that this is the most annoying, doormat of a heroine I have ever read (and you can tell by my book count that, that has been a lot of books about heroines). I will not say t OMG BECKY! I will not say that this couple hooking up and the way the hero acted made no sense. I will not say that even in the *gasp* shocking ending (not) that it still was lacking and annoying. I will also not say that this heroine deserved what she got with the way the hero treated her and in no way did I ever connect to her or feel sorry for her. I will also not tell you that I skipped to the ending and then read it backwards just to try and get some questions answered so I could put it down and wash my hands of it. I will also, and finally, not tell you that aside from being annoying I have already forgotten their names.
There! See, I didn't have to tell you anything at all! So, would I recommend this book? Sure - why not? Everyone should make up their own mind. Can I also not tell you that the Epilogue wasn't even an Epilogue? It was just a continuation to the next chapter? I'm not sure the author understood what an Epilogue meant. Epilogue is to bring closure, not just...continue on exactly to the next scene...Well, I mean I guess it could be an Epilogue...just, in my opinion, a really bad one.

BOOK #4 in Carmen-Downloads-20-Free-Ebooks-Onto-Her-Kindle-Day. More widely known as March 3rd, 2015.

There is so much wrong with this book I don't even know where to begin.

Nina works in an art gallery. Tristan comes to a showing. Then he waits until the place is shut down and shows up when Nina is taking out the trash. He offers to give her a ride home. She gets in the car with the strange man who shows up after hours to talk to her. She knows is dangerous and "probably a mistake," but he's JUST SO DREAMY. Then he speeds a lot. Really fast. Nina has her eyes covered in fear. When she opens them, she sees he's not headed for her house.

That leads to this really scary scene:

"Uh, I think you're going the wrong way. The Cross Bronx Expressway doesn't go anywhere near my house."

He shifted into third gear and hit the gas, pushing me back against the seat. "Guess you should have been paying attention instead of hiding behind your hands."

Fear raced through my body. Was he serious? "Are you kidnapping me? I mean, this feels a little bit like kidnapping since you obviously aren't taking me home."

That I sounded ridiculous and a man like him probably didn't have to kidnap women didn't occur to me in my fear. Women likely pleaded with him to take them anywhere.

"I don't think they'd call this kidnapping," he teased. "Maybe if you were tied up or at least had a gag in your mouth."

"Please take me home, Tristan. We're nowhere near my house and you're scaring me."

My hands began to get sweaty at the real fear that I had made a terrible mistake. I didn't know this man, and no matter how infatuated I'd been with him just hours before, he had total control of me at that moment, something very frightening.

Still speeding toward God knows where, he took his hands off the steering wheel and held them up in front of him. "If you want to go home, take the wheel and turn the car around."

Okay. She lives. They get into an accident but she lives. No one is hurt. Instead of slapping him, calling the cops, running far far away, or any of the more sane options, she allows him to drive her home. While making chit-chat.

Instead of realizing that he is dangerous to be around, she instead agrees to live with him, and work for him. And signs a contract saying she will work for him exclusively for six months.

He does stuff like hand-feeds her. Excuse me. I know how to use a fork. I really associate hand-feeding with children under the age of 2, so excuse me if this is not a turn-on. "Oh, but he had his chef make her all her favorite foods." I don't give a care.

The whole book basically goes like this:

Tristan does/says something scary/bizarre/possessive. Nina says, "I knew I should be frightened of him, but he was just SO DREAMY." Bullshit! I am NEVER, EVER attracted to a guy after he proves to me that he's a danger to me, himself, other people or won't take no for an answer, or is a snake of any kind. No amount of good-looks trumps that.

There's no BDSM or fetishes here. Except for the whole "contract/you have to live with me and obey me" thing, but that doesn't really delve into BDSM. He barely orders her to do anything.

The characters are bland and undeveloped. The book is boring. Really, really boring. I can't even rant about it much, because it was just putting me to sleep. To me, this kind of tediousness is even worse than the content. If you are going to write a "sexy" book about a controlling billionaire, or whatever, make it as questionable and morally bereft as you want. But for goodness sakes, make it interesting! I'll still give you one star, but at least I'll be enraged.

Tl;dr - Super-boring. Questionable content. Characters with no personality. To be used only as a sleep aid.

ONE REAL STAR, ONE ROMANCE STAR

I got this for free on my Kindle by just browsing through Amazon, they were having a special. This was entry #4 in Carmen-Downloads-20-Free-Ebooks-Onto-Her-Kindle-Day. More widely known as March 3rd, 2015.

The hero had so much potential, and after some discoveries, my interest was definitely piqued, but unfortunately it took too long to pan out, if it even did. I made it to 40% so if they did come to fruition, it was after that. Which in my humble opinion, means it took way too long to get the ball rolling. I just felt like the story was dragging it out and I feel like it has to do with the fact that there are 3 (yes, you read that right, 3!) books planned for this series. Not to mention there's a cliffhanger, which I abhor! And yes, I read the ending just to make sure it didn't somehow magically get better and I needed to go back and stick with it. It didn't. The only reason I'm giving this one star is because it evoked so much emotion, even though it was negative. ...more

i know the world has had this conversation time and time again—with books like twilight, after, fifty shades, beautiful disaster, and so on—but i'm just deeply upset that people will write irresponsible, abusive bullshit and it's passed off as good or hot or romantic or a "fantasy come true," and it's just... we don't think about it? it's just right there, unquestioned, for anyone to see. i haven't read a book like this in a while, so i just wasn't... prepared for it. because it was advertised as just a nice romance on a free book list.

look, if i read something, and i think: god, if this guy were ugly and not a billionaire she would've called the cops by now—that's not a good sign. i'm pretty sure this is the only thing i thought throughout the book.

let's get some of the simple things out of the way. the writing is pretty juvenile, but not awful. the characters are piss-poor; every last one of them, and i don't just mean poorly-written, i mean they're just bad people, too. the plot is boring; the sex scenes didn't even manage to entertain me. the main character, nina, who's got the personality of a slab of concrete, is supposed absolutely adore art; however, from the things she says, i'm at least eighty percent certain that the author is either an art historian who specializes in toddlers' finger-paintings or someone who knows absolutely nothing about art. tristan, the love interest, vacillates between being cardboard and being atrociously abusive.

here's the course of their relationship, be aware it spoils the whole book!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT IT TO BE SPOILED. this is textbook abuse. it's the plot of a horror film. i'm not cool with reading this shit out of the blue; keep in mind it may be triggering.

— tristan, a powerful billionaire, singles out a lowly, working-class waitress, nina, at a gallery showing; he finds her afterwards in a back alley, where she's taking out the trash, completely alone. there, he suggests she "go for a ride" with him, and makes it evident that he knows her full name and where she lives, despite them never meeting previously.

— she agrees to "go for a ride" with him, and gets into his car. he begins driving recklessly fast through the city and laughs when she's terrified. despite promising to drive her home, he drives past the exit, and when she realizes he's driving her somewhere she didn't agree on, she pleads with him to take her home, that he's scaring her. he refuses; he tells her that if she wants to go home she has to take the wheel. so she does—because she's frightened and thinks she's being kidnapped—and they spin out. she's so scared she passes out. then, when she wakes up, she starts sobbing, telling him he's crazy and he could've killed her; he holds her cheeks and presses his forehead to hers, despite them being complete strangers and her being terrified of him and this not being an appropriate touch at all, and he says some stupid platitude, but doesn't apologize. then, although she's still upset and wanting to go home, he drives them into the middle of nowhere. when she asks, he still doesn't tell her where they're going, and she once again believes he's kidnapping her. when he finally drops her off at home, he tells her to "be careful getting in cars with strange men. you could get hurt, and i wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you."

— the next day, she's frustrated by how much she "likes him." she goes on a double date at a bar with her best friend, jordan. tristan finds her at the bar and tells her he's there to see her; she asks him how he knew she was there, and he literally doesn't answer her. he tells her to go on a walk with him and she leaves the bar and her best friend with this man, alone. he says he knows so much about her because he's "asked people who'd know." she doesn't know the objective of this meeting and they're still walking together alone in the dark. when she gets frustrated and stalks away from him, he chases after her. then he offers her a job if she passes a test; he takes her to his apartment without her knowing where they're going. she fails the test, gets emotional, leaves.

— tristan shows up on her doorstep the next morning. he forces his way into her apartment, where she's alone, even after she asks him to leave. she gets in the car with him and he takes her to another one of his houses upstate, but she doesn't know where they're going. the house is completely isolated in the woods, no cell service, the only way out is through tristan's drivers—this is important for later. he offers her alcohol. she drinks it. then they have sex.

— the morning after, he's gone. she's alone in this isolated house. he's left her a note saying she can have a job and a $20,000 advance check if she signs a contract he's drawn up for her for the next 6 months. she must sign the contract before she can leave the house or it's void, so obviously she can't cash the check. she's not allowed to call tristan and ask him any questions about the contract. she signs it without reading it. it's implied tristan knows her bank details. he's also spoken to her previous boss about her resignation without her knowing it. she's told to go shopping for a new wardrobe; tristan's driver takes her to the store. he's picked out all her clothes for her. they have phone sex. she asks him if she can go home and get her things, and he gets angry at her for asking, telling her that the contract she signed states that she must obey his every order for the next 6 months. she's stunned and upset. the driver takes her back to tristan's house.

— she's angry at him and he tells her he can only give her everything her heart desires if he controls her. he's made her favorite meal; when she's surprised that he knows what she likes, he tells her that he spoke to jordan without her knowledge. he hand-feeds her. she asks if she's a prisoner there, feels fear, and he gets angry at her for asking. he leaves and she goes to her room, where she finds that he's brought all her things to the house from her apartment without her knowledge. she's now trapped. she realizes she's completely, utterly alone and wonders again if she's being held prisoner. then she says she thinks that she should take tristan's offer so she doesn't have to be lonely anymore, and that she was "being held back by fear and mistrust." the butler tells her that she can use the car, but it's obviously tristan's car, meaning he'd still be able to track her whereabouts.

— when tristan returns, he tells her he has something he wants her to do. he takes her to a room, where an exhibitionist couple come out and begin having sex in front of them, without nina's consent. tristan tells her he wants her to paint what it makes her feel to watch them fuck.

— he leaves the next morning and she's alone again. she goes to see jordan, who was under the impression that it wouldn't be weird if she didn't return to the apartment because tristan told her so. nina tells jordan that tristan made her sign a contract for a job she hasn't done, that he paid for her clothes, and tells her seriously that she thinks tristan is keeping her as a sex slave. jordan laughs at her and tells her she's just his girlfriend. the rest of the conversation is similarly disturbing and jordan dismisses her. she returns to tristan's house and calls her sister, who hasn't heard from nina in two days even though she'd left a voicemail; nina lies and says her phone is acting up even though the issue is there's no service at this isolated house. she feels "relief," that she can finally call someone.

— tristan returns. at this point he's continuously said he loves how honest she is, but every time she's actually honest with him about this situation, he's gotten angry. it happens again and he makes her feel like she's done something wrong for being confused and suspicious. the next night, he has a mood swing and treats her like shit, says something shitty, and then she apologizes for being upset at him for it. then he tells her that she has to live with his mood swings and the confusion. she thinks she has to change in order to accept who he is.

— he won't let himself be seen with her, which makes her upset. he doesn't tell her why they can't be seen together. later he tells her he doesn't take real girlfriends in front of the press, but he makes her wait and agonize before this explanation.

— nina plays this awful prank where she pretends she's going into anaphylactic shock and literally dying. later, she dresses up in lingerie for him. he gets angry at her for "going out dressed like that," because only he wants to look at her, and he "gets concerned," even though she explains to him over and over again that she wore the lingerie for him, not so anyone else would see. later, he implies that she's a cheating gold-digger, but when she gets upset he tells her not to start anything, and that she should "be careful" with what she does now. then he shoves her against the wall and pins her. afterwards, he begs her not to leave him, like everyone else has, even if he screws up, and he was only upset earlier because he thought she would leave him; she assures him she won't.

— later, he gets angry at her for letting the gardener see her in her swimsuit. she shouldn't have been half-naked in front of him, tristan says. she begs him not to be angry but he just walks away. later he lets her believe he might cheat on her. then nina gets angry because he has a female PA and he never told her, and he brings up the half-naked thing again. he fired the gardener. also, he asks her to marry him after 6 months.

— she finds out he knows who killed her father and leaves, making it clear she doesn't want him anymore. he has her followed and angrily says that he needs to "bring her back where she belongs" and that "once she realizes i was only trying to protect her, she'll be able to trust me again." nina has gotten into a car accident. tristan blackmails nina's suspicious sister into allowing nina to come back home with him. he lies to jordan about nina leaving him, convincing her they were in love and it was a misunderstanding. nina wakes up with amnesia. tristan tells her they're in love and leaves out the fact that she left him. he believes this is a second chance for them.

My first thought……yet another book about a mysterious billionaire, who meets a sweet and innocent woman, mesmerizes her and gets her to sign a contract to be with him. Sounds familiar, right?? Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared to You and a lot of more with similar plots. But wait…..why was I so into the story within reading the first couple of pages?

No one can deny that plots are constantly done over and over again but what made this story unique and fresh were the characters. Tristan Stone may be a sexy and dark millionaire like Christian Grey and we could see something of Anastasia in Nina Edwards.
However, the author brings another perspective to the "same old story". We get to see a different view on how the characters act in similar situations.

I found Nina very engaging…she's had a few tragedies and disappointments in the past, struggling to find her place in the world, feelings of insecurity, too trusting at times – and then she has this spark in her that you can't help wanting her around you.

Tristan Stone – how cool is that name!!!!!!!!! And never mind that he's this mysterious, powerful and mesmerizing and gorgeous too. And totally irresistible.

"But what made Tristan stunning were those deep, soulful eyes. Warm brown eyes the shade of melted milk chocolate I could have spent the rest of time getting lost in."
I did find Tristan's behavior a bit odd at times…well, most of the times. All the secret phone calls, totally "zoning" out on Nina…hot and cold!!! He hurts her so many times but he does redeem himself….I could understand why Nina can't stay away….
"The way he was made me crazy. Crazy for him. Crazy because of him. Fucking crazy. He's left this morning without a word or even a gentle brush of his hand against mine to say goodbye, and he's returned wanting nothing but me. What was with this guy? How did he do it? I could barely keep my hands off him, and there were times he stood close enough to touch me and never did. It was maddening. And I loved it."

There was something dark and mysterious about Tristan but what made him grab me was the kindness, the caring and loving he showed for Nina. Nina brings something pure and beautiful into his life – opening up his heart and feelings he had shut off.
We never really get into Tristan's head as the story is told from Nina's POV, except for the epilogue, where it changes to his. I would have loved to see what his thoughts where, see a different side of him. Why he could be so cold and then the opposite. We do get to see the softer side to him as his relationship with Nina develops, which just blew me away.

Sexy, sensual, steamy and hot scenes……….

I don't want to get too much into the plot – avoiding all those spoilers – but I did realize that there was more to Tristan's meeting with Nina…just never guessed exactly what, which made it a total surprise for me. In fact, nothing what I was expecting.
As secrets are revealed, will it destroy the love they have?

What a great start to a new series and I am looking forward to the next chapter in Tristan & Nina's life.

CRASH INTO ME is the first installment in K.M.Scott's new contemporary New Adult romance series. K.M. Scott is the penname of author Gabrielle Bisset (Sons of Navarus) and CRASH INTO ME is her first foray into the New Adult genre.

CRASH INTO ME focuses on billionaire and reluctant hotel magnate Tristan Stone and Art History graduate Nina Edwards. Following their 'accidental' meeting at a gallery showing, Tristan offers Nina a six month contract position as the art procurer for his chain of Richmont Hotels throughout the world. But what began as a business arrangement soon becomes something more. Before the six months are over Nina will transform the quiet, unsmiling recluse billionaire into a man who will break her heart in more ways than one.

The premise follows Tristan and Nina's building relationship from employer and employee, to friends and lovers. But Nina soon becomes troubled by the small alarm bells that keep going off every time the darker side of Tristan is exposed when Nina steps over an imaginary line where jealousy begins to rear its' ugly head. The small signs of possession and his need to control start mounting and Nina is unsure just how far the relationship will go before something or someone gets hurt.

The storyline is told from Nina's POV. We are witness to her thoughts and desires, and there is no doubt that Nina is falling in love but it is Tristan's ulterior motives that will leave the reader questioning his intent and action. And in the end, the true nature of the beast will be exposed and life for Nina and Tristan will never be the same.

The writing style is simple and the storyline is slow to build, but I never felt that we really got to know our leading couple before they immediately jumped into a relationship where Tristan controlled every aspect of their daily lives. Tristan and Nina both have a history of loss but their connection to one another runs deeper than anyone could have imagined. There is heartbreak and sorrow and you know that Tristan hides a deep, dark secret.

Tristan is an enigma. He is dark, almost cold and his personality never quite shines through on the pages of Crash Into Me. The storyline is character driven and because it is told from Nina's POV, we never really get into the head of the man who controls the strings.

K.M. takes the reader on a virtual tour from America to Venice and we will discover there is a softer side to our hero Tristan Stone. The building of the sexual relationship is quick to develop as there is a definite mutual attraction between Nina and Tristan- one that will prove to be a heartbreaker for both.

If you are a fan of the Crossfire or FSOG series style then Crash Into Me will be a familiar storyline but one with a twist at the end of book one. I hope we get to see a different side of Tristan-perhaps a storyline perspective from his POV because whatever has been going through his mind, is definitely going to push the storyline forward.

Four years of school and a degree in art history Nina finds herself as an assistant in a gallery in New York City.
One night handing out cocktail weenies, she meets Tristan Stone. In a crowd full of people Nina Finds herself Drawn to him.
Tall, Dark and handsome, he exudes wealth, opulence and excess.

With her night coming to an end, Nina finds herself face to face with Tristan.
She can't help feel the connection to him, but her insecurities leave her feeling that she is not worthy of such a man.

After a couple more run ins, and one steamy hot night of SEX. Tristan offers Nina a job. Six months working for him selecting art for his numerous hotel properties.
After signing the contract, Nina soon realises, that there is a lot more than the 9-5 job she thinks she was doing.
Tristan moves Nina into his mansion. Nina at first struggles with the idea of working, sleeping and living with the 'Boss'. But Tristan holds a power over her she can't deny.

He was power and control and she loved it.

~ "Imagine my tongue gently dragging over your clit. I love the feel of it on the tip of my tongue, Nina. It's swollen and eager for me to take it into my mouth and suck on until all those tender nerve endings explode in your orgasm." ~

Tristan starts off really dark and broody. He was controlling and constantly running Hot and Cold. He really is a mixed bag.
I loved his dirty mouth, and sometimes wanted to smack him in the mouth.
But Tristan is hiding a very big secret. You start to see a different side him. His softer side is totally swoon worthy. But he struggles with letting go.

~"I can't be anything but what I am. I can give you everything your heart desires, but I can only do it this way." ~

Tristan really was ALPHA. Totally bossy and jealous. Once he started showing his true feelings you couldn't help fall in love with him.
He could be sweet and attentive and the sex was hot!

But the more closer they get, the bigger the secret is weighing on him.
Will Tristan's secret tear down everything they have together?

I really enjoyed this one. I was a little concerned I wouldn't with a couple of the reviews I had read. But for me this was an enjoyable read.
I was annoyed how Nina just put up with Tristan's way of leaving her home when he would go out. But in saying that I couldn't put it down. He frustrated me, she frustrated me but I loved them both!
The ending does't end in a shocking cliffhanger but doesn't wrap up in a perfect HEA.
Crash Into Me was the 1st instalment of Tristan and Nina's Story. I will definitely be reading the next instalment, Fall Into Me Book #2 in the A Heart of Stone Trilogy, set to be released Nov/Dec 2013.
For now check this one out!

This was a phenomenal read!! You will probably think I'm a little strange at why I liked the book, but I have to explain how I got hooked. It was simple...it was Tristan. The author wrote him so well I could feel him coming alive right before my eyes. His social inadequacies, his hopes, the person he buried to become part of something he had no want of, his possessiveness, his humor, ans the slow transition of him becoming whole again all because of Nina completely and totally won me over. His social inadequacies, his hopes, the person he buried to become part of something he had no want of, his possessiveness, his humor, ans the slow transition of him becoming whole again all because of Nina completely and totally won me over. He wasn't some sexy playboy billionaire, an obsessive over achiever, or a work-a-holic. He was simply a dreamer and a free spirit before his soul was crushed with the weight of responsibility left to him. He was an amazing character and completely fell in love with him.

Nina was a great character too. She saw life differently than everyone else because she always looked for the beauty in it. She was always saw more than was actually laid on the table. Her insecurities were understandable and weren't over-played.

The story was amazing! The chemistry between the characters was HOT and the sex scenes even HOTTER!! I don;t usually give anything about the book away, but I will tell you this: At the end I wailed so loud in my frustration that I woke my child up out of a dead sleep!!! The cliff-hanger is awful!! So even though it leaves you hanging, it is a must read for romance lovers!!!

My main complaint about this book is I did not realize it was a series. There is a huge cliff-hanger so consider yourself warned.
I'll admit I picked this book up right after reading Faithful by Kelly Elliott and the ending was almost too comparable to what I just read that I'm not too excited about the next one.. Sorry. Though, I can only hope that it's not as a big a letdown.

If you like your men bossy, superior and super-secretive than look no further, Tristan Stone is all that and more. Even at the end I can't get a full grasp on him as a character. He is so aloof and barely shares anything that he is still mystery to me.

Nina just graduated as is stuck in a crappy art job where she has to slowly work her way up the totem pole. One night during an event, Nina is blindsided by the most beautiful man she has ever seen. Needless to say, serving drinks is not a high priority for her. Surrounded by an entourage and carrying an air of superiority is Tristan Stone who seems interested but not overly in Nina. When he leaves that night she never expects their brief moment of eye contact to lead to Tristan waiting for her that night in the alley behind her job.
description
Deciding to take a risk, Nina allows Tristan to drive her home. From there, Nina is thrown for a loop when Tristan basically starts to take over her life. He offers her an unbelievable job working for him, one which she can't turn down. Contracts are signed and Nina is moved into his sprawling mansion. Of course at the same time, emotions run high and pheromones float all over the place. Nina is brave and not afraid to speak her mind. She was an enjoyable character to read about and I often found myself following many of her thoughts and decisions, though when she immediately changes her mind when Tristan is around, it was a bit maddening.

The two grow closer, or should I say Nina grows closer to Tristan whom very rarely says anything about himself. By the end all I know of him is what happened to his family and why he is super bossy in a Christan Gray sort of way minus the whips and chains.
description
But alas, Tristan's aloofness is all for a reason. Someone is hiding a secret. One that will shatter Nina's world and drive her to the brink of collapse. This is where things get tricky because the last chapter is in Tristan's POV which would have helped to have throughout the entire story but it just ends, no warning. I am not a fan of cliffhangers, in fact I avoid them altogether unless the series is completed and I was completely blindsided by this one. I think my anger actually lessened the blow of it and though I am curious to see how things work out for Tristan and Nina, I'm not dying to know.
description
The rest of the story was exciting. I was pulled in from the start and did not feel bored or unengaged throughout. Of course I kept wanting something more from Tristan. He had mood swings like a woman with menopause, but call me crazy, that made him all the more hott. He takes possessiveness to a whole new level and Tristan will surely have your glasses fogging all the while you're hoping he will walk into your life and take over. Grrr. Minus the cliff-hanger I would recommend this. It wasn't a heavy story or hard to connect to, so if you're looking for a dominating, overpowering man and a strong heroine who though alone in life, doesn't let the world control her, this is for you.

The main characters Nina and Tristan were very well developed and lovable. I fell for Tristan and his secret shadiness instantly. Mystery and hot men, I am all over that. He is our tall dark and very handsome. I also really enjoyed Nina. I felt she had just enough spunk and self-doubt to make her feel real. I mean honestly. Most of us have that typical self doubt about ourselves and I find it relatable and real.

I loved the storyline for this book as well. Tristan was a little overzealous at some points, but it made the story all that more fun to get lost in. With its BDSM twists and some serious secrets this book had all the makings for a great story and it delivered.

Tristan wanted Nina and would stop at almost nothing to get her. Though their story doesn't start out as one of romance, you see it coming and its hot. He has six months to make her his, and she has six months to find her way to love. Will she see whats in front of her, or will the secrets of their past sabotage the love that they could possibly build? With lots of "What Ifs" The book did not let down in the least. I LOVED the ending and can't wait for the next book!
Synopsis:
What would you give up for everything?

Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed.

He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price.

The world he gave me fulfilled my wildest dreams, but would that be enough when the past crashed into the present?

His lack of communication drove me crazy! I hardly saw passionate responses from him. In essence, if I was with this guy, I'd be bored!!!!!! I liked so many scenes which made me flutter this the 3-4 star rating, but I didn't fall for the H.

I wish I had seen more scenes where he was so happy with the h and they are laughing. It left a sad undertone to his character and it didn't change throughout the book.

Also, the heroine omg. She's so presumptuous and immature at times it drove me crazy! For example once he calls her cute, She gets annoyed cause she wants to be sexy not cute and goes to take a bath. I get that it wasn't the reason she was annoyed but it was so immature. And how she assumes he's gonna break up with her... and he loves her and all.

Then it's the fact he doesn't tell her anything. And when he's a ALL secretive she lets it go.

Also I hated that she let him go out with random actresses on his arm in public events .... I like my woman to be more alpha. Even if he doesn't wanna advertise to the world their relationship. I didn't like and think it's realistic any woman would be okay with that.

I think this had a recipe for a great book but it just didn't deliver quite right.

And then….one night at a showing, she sets eyes on Tristan Stone. He is rich, handsome and when he looks at you, you just want to melt in those chocolate brown eyes of his. He sets Nina's world off balance. "I closed my eyes to imagine his face. The deep brown eyes that spoke volumes even when he didn't. The perfectly shaped mouth and the lips that had lightly brushed my check for just a moment, sending my body into overdrive. The masculine jaw of a man who looked like a man, not a boy." ~ Nina He doesn't say very much in the beginning and when he does, it's usually with one word answers which drives her nuts. And he keeps showing up unexpectedly in her life.

He stared straight ahead into the night and started the car again. "Don't underestimate yourself, Nina. You're anything but ordinary." ~ Tristan

"We were so different and from such different worlds." ~ Nina

He cocked one eyebrow and then finally said, "You make me smile. Nina. I can't say that about most people." ~ Tristan

After they spend one night together, Tristan presents Nina with a contract. He doesn't do this in person either. The contract is for six months stating that she will work for him as his private curator, locating art pieces to complete the suites in his hotels stateside & in Venice, Italy. He's willing to pay her a generous salary with health benefits, 401K, etc. She also will live in his house.

She signs on for this position, but as time goes by, she finds herself falling for this complex man. She wants to learn more about him. She's not the willowy, model type that she's seen pictures of him with a various functions. So she's a little confused as to what he sees in her.

But as time passes through their six months of being together, their personal relationship seems to be growing. What is a mystery to Nina & me are the phone calls that have him taking them in a different room. His moods definitely change to dark & brooding or tense after these calls. Nina likes to see him smile and she makes it her mission to do it more often and not pry into what these phone calls are about.

"Whatever it was that he was dealing with each time that phone rang and it dragged him out of our bed, it tore at my heart to deal with it alone." ~ Nina

"This is who Tristan Stone was. Contradictions, on top of unanswered questions. And the more I know about him, the more I wanted to know the answers." ~ Nina

As you get further into the story, you won't want to put it down. At least, I didn't. Things definitely take a happy turn, but then you are spun around as you find out that Tristan has kept something from Nina. And regardless of the feelings that these two have found with each other……will it be enough to keep them together??

A major event takes place near the end of the book. I swear, I didn't see it coming and I cannot wait to see if Tristan and Nina can overcome what life has thrown at them. Their story will continue in "Fall Into Me". I recommend reading "Crash Into Me".

I really got into their story from the beginning. It's well written, dark at times, hot & sexy other times and flows nicely. This is a new author for me & I will definitely look forward to other books written by K.M. Scott.

I was asked to read and review Crash into Me. The story from the blurb sounded like something I would really like. And it did not disappoint. This book's main male reminded me of a tamer form of Christian Grey, without all the Dom sexiness Christian Grey oozes. I was beginning to not like Tristan very much. It seemed he was a user and had many women on the side, until the "real" Tristan peeked out. He was a little obsessed with her 'being happy', it got down right annoying. I was really glad when he started opening up and the mask fell away. The main female was Nina. She had so much self-doubt and did not feel worthy of Tristan or love. I liked watching her become more secure, and embrace the moment. I was also really glad she had a friend like Jordan. I think there is more to the story with her sister, and all that negative juju she flings around, so the image her sister portrayed was hard and judgmental towards Nina. Crash into me has lots of 50 Shade's feel to it without the BDSM in the beginning, but when the secrets unfolded it took on a different feel. After the Venice trip I could not put it down. I thought it was really crapy the secret he hides from Nina and his purpose of introducing himself to her and his life. I hope he learns his lesson with the next book and do not make the same mistakes with her. I feel like this web of secrets is just unfolding. I will be sure to keep my eyes open for more to this story in book two. The book flowed decent, and got down right so good I could not put it down. Wonder what in the world am I talking about?? Nina, was strong, loving, trustful, and sincere. She didn't let Tristan walk all over her, not one time did i feel like I needed to yell at her for her dumb decisions, because she handled herself with class and that was a beautiful thing to read. Tristan, boy oh boy, haha, he was hot and cold. I didn't know what was wrong with him sometimes, and other times I wanted to suck his face!! He knew how to please a woman and keep her happy in more than just the bedroom, he has a sensitive side that comes out when you least expect it too.

There was secrets, lies, and sadness in this one, and I couldn't have asked for more. I hated that the cliff hanger leaves you thinking "NO! WHY?!!!" Yes, I was truly heartbroken, but satisfied with where book 2 would go next.

4.5 STARS!! Because I'm SOOOO coming back for more!!!!

Besides her stupid decision i just hated Nina. Her personality was horrible. She over reacted in the most annoying way possible. I just couldn't stand her 95% of the time. As for Tristan? A drawn out story with a predictable ending.
The female protagonist is insecure and her character lacks depth. The male protagonist has looks, money and is otherwise a cardboard character. His actions so far are weird, and would make any normal woman run away.
You have to read to chapter twenty three for the predictable outcome and it is only then the pace quickens till the end.
Our overworked plot device amnesia steps in and offers a dubious second chance.

There is no denying that Tristan Stone is a powerful man – international hotel mogul, not to mention other ventures and his philanthropic interests. And, not surprisingly, he's always accompanied in public by a beautiful, elegantly dressed woman; but rarely the same woman. When he attends a show at the Anderson gallery, one would assume it's to observe the art, but Mr. Stone, it seems, has other intentions.

Nina's dream is to work in an art gallery, even if means donning a black skirt and white blouse to serve champagne and cocktail weenies to art patrons at the upscale Anderson Gallery, at least she's surrounded by what she loves. Then, surprisingly, the enigmatic Mr. Stone offers Nina the chance of a lifetime – six months working for him selecting art to finish decorating the most coveted suits in each of his prestigious hotel properties. She just has to pass one test. She'd be a fool not to accept the offer. The salary alone is more than she would make in twice that time, so of course she doesn't hesitate to sign on the dotted line, ignoring her instincts to read the fine print. When Mr. Stone begins to reveal the "other aspects" of her employment contract, Nina finds herself in a six-month commitment that goes far beyond selecting art.

Nina is a bright young woman with a lot of spunk. I think that's what drew me to her, and I know that's what draws Tristan to her as well. She's had a past filled with tragedy, loss and disappointment, so it's no wonder she has insecurities that keep her apprehensive - of herself and of Tristan Stone. As for Tristan, well, there's the man the world sees, and then there's the man he wants Nina to see. Even when Nina begins to believe that she might possibly love him, her instincts are warning her that the secrecy and mystery that surround Tristan just leaves too many unanswered questions. Like, for instance, those mysterious damn phone calls that have such an unexplained effect on Tristan's disposition. He goes from attentive and playful to closed off and cold just by hearing the phone ring.

Author KM Scott has created characters in Tristan and Nina that completely charmed and captivated me. I was as confused by Tristan Stone as Nina was, and equally as attracted to him as well. Through Nina's inner-reveries, she was able to almost convince me, along with herself, to ignore all the warning signs, and I was drinking (well, at least sipping) the Tristan Stone Kool-Aid right along with her.

The ending of this book shocked me to my core. In the final chapter, when we finally begin to get some answers about Mr. Stone and his mercurial ways, but just before any of the real secrets are revealed, the unthinkable happens, and then the story ends. The Epilogue, by the way, did little to calm my pounding heart, and now all I can do is wait anxiously for the next installment, "Fall Into Me." Well done, Ms. Scott! I love a good cliffhanger!

Five I-sure-as-hell-didn't-see-that-coming stars!

Crash Into Me is a book I really have enjoyed reading! I can't wait to start the next one! Anyway, this is the first of a 3 part series, and is followed by Fall Into Me, and Give into Me. There is also a novella which finishes off this series called Ever After.

The characters are Nina, a young woman who has finished college and is now working at an art studio, she is pretty, but very sad, as her father was killed 4 years ago and her mom died when she was 5 years old. She has a sister she does not

She has a sister she does not see that much, and she shares an apartment with her best friend Jordan. She has been unlucky in love and has dated a series of losers.

Tristan Stone is a very handsome man, and he is a billionaire, he owns a chain of hotels all over the world, and they are very impressive hotels. not a common chain. He lost his father, twin brother, and mother in a plane crash 4 years ago, and he was the lone survivor, so he was put in a position he did not want, being CEO of the huge Stone Corporation.

Tristan runs into Nina at an art showing at the Anderson Gallery where she works, and he waits for her to close up after the gallery closes and offers her a ride home, via a long ride to view a house he is looking to buy. After he drops her off, Nina does not think she will see him ever again- she feels like they live in two different worlds. However this is not the case and he sees her again a few days later when she is out with her friend Jordan and their dates for the evening. Nina leaves with him, and goes with Tristan and then he offers her a deal she can't refuse, and it quickly turns into them getting together and falling in love! They plan on getting married.

This book was well written, and the plot was really good, the author has you wondering throughout the whole book what secrets one of the main characters is hiding. When the truth comes out it sets off a series of events that are really bad, and you will have to read the book to find out what they are. There is a lot of angst between Tristan and Nina at times, as she feels that she does not belong in his world and can't live up to the expectations he has of her, and he feels that she does belong-to him. Tristan is very jealous and possessive of her and she does not realize why that is, as she has always been with men that do not really care about her, take what they want and then leave.I really liked Nina's pert attitude, but I felt sorry that she was so insecure, and jumped to the wrong conclusions on occasion. As for Tristan, he was very closed mouthed, and did not say much which caused Nina to wonder what his life had been like. Tristan is a good man, but he has a big problem which is starting to affect his life.

I gave this book 5*****stars as it was a good read, and it kept my attention throughout the whole book, and it also kept me guessing-I did not see the end coming like it did! Read this book! v You will be glad you did!!

CRASH INTO ME is the first installment in K.M.Scott's new contemporary New Adult romance series.

CRASH INTO ME is the first installment in K.M.Scott's new contemporary New Adult romance series.

I really wanted to like this book and to be honest I did kinda like it but the characters emotions were too all over the place for me.
Nina the main female lead character was literally all over the place. I actually got whiplash with how fast her thoughts moved from one extreme to another in regards to Tristan and his treatment of her, I had to take a break from reading at one point. She actually infuriated me and I wanted to jump into the book and `Crash into her' myself. Her reactions to her own thoughts and actions were also extreme and to be honest I could see no reason for them being so extreme and I could see no reason why she put up with Tristan the way she did. I think the book was lacking a bit more depth into Nina's background for it to make sense with her reactions. All that aside though I did really enjoy the book.

The storyline grabbed me from the beginning and the scenes flowed. I like what K.M Scott has done with the plot and the way it twisted and turned. The book didn't get boring that was for sure. There was also comedy in the storyline and I may have cringed a time or two in embarrassment for a character. I love it when a book draws me in like that and has me blushing for something they are doing.
The book is not a stand-alone and is due to continue and as such there is no closure on the storyline. If you are not a fan of waiting to find out what happens then you may want to wait until the next book is out before reading this one. I like the way this book ended, it left you feeling satisfied that the book had come to a natural conclusion but left you eagerly anticipating the next instalment in the series.
